Terms and Conditions, User Agreement, and Legal Disclaimer
1. Terms and Conditions Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Welcome to the RAF Claim Tracker App ("the App"), owned and operated by SS Group Pty Ltd ("the Company", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the App, including registration, payment, and data processing services. By downloading, registering, or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms.
Purpose of the App
The App enables users ("Claimants") to monitor and receive verified updates on the progress of their Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims. The App is not affiliated with or owned by the RAF, but serves as a third-party communication and information management tool.
Registration and User Verification
To register, users must upload:
- Copy of ID
- Accident Report (AR Form)
- RAF Claim Reference Number (if available)
Users must sign a digital proxy/authorization form allowing the App to obtain and share claim updates from relevant third parties.
Fees and Payment
The service fee is R50 per month, payable via debit/credit card or airtime deduction. Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party gateways. Non-payment may result in suspension of access to claim updates.
Privacy and POPIA Compliance
SS Group Pty Ltd is committed to complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). By using the App, users consent to the lawful collection, storage, and processing of personal information for verifying identity, retrieving claim updates, and processing payments. Data is encrypted, retained only for lawful purposes, and not shared without consent. Users may request deletion of data by contacting support@ssgroup.co.za.
Limitation of Liability
The App provides claim status updates for informational purposes only. While efforts are made to ensure accuracy, SS Group Pty Ltd cannot guarantee completeness of third-party data. The Company is not liable for delays, errors, or losses resulting from use or inability to use the App.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
2. Short User Agreement (Consent & Service Contract)
Between:
- SS Group Pty Ltd (Service Provider)
- and [User Full Name] (User)
Purpose
Authorizes SS Group to collect, process, and manage the User's personal information for verified RAF claim updates.
Consent
The User consents to collection, storage, and processing of ID, Accident Report, and claim details under POPIA.
Fees
R50 per month, payable via card or airtime deduction.
Duration
Valid while subscription is active or until written termination.
Liability
SS Group acts as an information intermediary and is not liable for delays or errors by the RAF.
By signing digitally or ticking consent, the User accepts these terms.
3. Legal Disclaimer
- RAF Claim Tracker App is an independent service by SS Group Pty Ltd and is not affiliated with the Road Accident Fund (RAF).
- Claim updates are sourced from verified channels but may change without prior notice.
- The App does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice.
- Users are responsible for ensuring their personal details are correct.
- SS Group Pty Ltd is indemnified against any claim, loss, or damages arising from reliance on the information provided.
